1. Installation Work:
All electrical installation work will comply with BS7671:2018 and relevant Building Regulations in force at the time of the works.
Certificates issued will cover only those works installed by Dynamic Electrical & Security Systems LTD.
Costs quoted for extending or modifying existing circuits assume those circuits are safe and in good condition; any necessary upgrades will incur additional costs.
Modifications to rubber insulated (VIR) or lead sheathed cables will not be undertaken.
We strive to prevent damage when lifting carpets or floor coverings and will refit them as best as possible. Specialist fitters may be advisable for satisfactory reinstatement.
Chases to walls will be left unfilled unless otherwise agreed, and final plastering and decoration are excluded.
Post-installation, while we aim for a clean work area, some vacuuming or cleaning may still be required. Clients should remove any sensitive equipment from the work area prior to commencement.
If unforeseen circumstances or delays arise on the client’s side, we may request payment for the work completed to that date, and any additional time or materials will incur extra costs.
2. New Consumer Units:
The installation of new consumer units is contingent upon testing the entire installation for safety. Basic testing costs are included; however, any faults must be remedied prior to reconnection and may incur additional charges.
Bonding of main services to water, gas, or oil supplies may need upgrading, particularly for properties constructed prior to the early 1970s, and these costs will also incur additional charges unless otherwise agreed.
3. Electrical Safety Checks:
Full access to the consumer unit is required, and any obstructions must be removed beforehand. Clients should inform us of the consumer unit's location and ensure prepayment meters have sufficient credit for testing.
Any damaged fittings must be reported before our visit, and sensitive equipment should be unplugged.
Properly labelled circuits are essential for the inspection; if the site is deemed unsafe at any time, work will cease until remedial actions have been discussed.
4. Exclusions:
While we strive to be helpful and may move limited items to create access, clearing or moving furniture and other large obstructions to work areas is not included in our quotation. If we are unable to proceed with an installation due to access restrictions, our minimum attendance charge will apply.
While we will make every effort to ensure that electrical items are plugged back in and operational prior to leaving the premises, we cannot be held liable for losses incurred from any electrical item not being plugged back in or switched on.
Removal from site and disposal of rubble, materials, general waste, and packaging is not included in our services. We may, at our discretion, remove old fittings and wiring for responsible disposal.
5. Pricing:
Our prices assume continuous and unhindered access to the site, as agreed with the client.
Whenever possible, fixed price quotes will be provided. If a fixed quote cannot be provided, an estimated cost will be given, which may be subject to change.
Unless specified otherwise, the costs quoted assume standard working hours (Monday to Friday). Work required by the client outside these hours may incur premium rates, though we will strive to remain flexible.
A full day consists of 6 working hours with a 1-hour lunch break, which can be taken at any time. Half-day slots consist of 4 hours and do not include lunch. Half-day slots can start and end at any time during the day. If the work required falls short of 4 hours, an hourly rate will be charged.
Additional work not covered in the stated costs will incur extra charges for both time and materials.
Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issuance. By accepting our quote or estimate, you accept these terms and conditions.
6. Risk and Title of Goods:
Risk in all goods supplied shall pass to the client upon delivery.
All goods supplied shall remain the property of Dynamic Electrical & Security Systems LTD until all sums due have been paid in full.
7. Warranty:
Dynamic Electrical & Security Systems LTD warrants that its installation work will be defect-free for a period of twelve months from the invoice date. This warranty does not extend to goods supplied by third parties, physical damage, willful misuse, or instances where the installation has been altered or tampered with by others. The warranty also excludes fair wear and tear, lamps (bulbs), fuses, and other consumables.
Where projects involve works by third-party trades, any damage to the electrical installation caused by these third parties shall remain the responsibility of the client. Any costs for rectification must be paid by the client prior to the commencement of subsequent works.
8. Payment and Deposits:
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, full payment should be made upon completion of the specified works to Dynamic Electrical & Security Systems LTD. Clients are required to pay a deposit for all commissioned projects, the specific amount being communicated clearly prior to work commencement.
Larger projects may require a 25% deposit of the total cost to secure a date and time for the work; this will be indicated on the quote or estimate.
For projects involving both first and second fix works, part payment will be due upon completion of the first fix.
Payment can be made via cash, bank transfer, or debit card. We no longer accept payment by cheque.
In the event of late or non-payment of our invoice, Dynamic Electrical & Security Systems LTD reserves the right to withdraw any discounts previously offered, and the full invoice amount will be payable. In the case of non-payment, Dynamic Electrical & Security Systems LTD reserves the right to instruct an independent debt recovery agent to recover the outstanding debt, with all associated costs payable by the client.
9. Pets:
Pets, particularly dogs, must be kept away from our work areas. If work is interrupted due to pets, the client will be charged for work performed to that point.
10. Cancellation:
Clients can cancel their contract within fourteen calendar days from the date of acceptance by communicating in writing via delivery, post, or email to Dynamic Electrical & Security Systems LTD. If work is to begin before this period, written confirmation is required. Should the client cancel after agreeing to early commencement, they are liable for reasonable costs incurred.
